Players may have to bluff or show their hands in order to win the game. Depending on the type of game, a bet can be an ante or a blind. Often, a player’s bluff can be evaluated, and if they have a hand that is good enough to win, they can collect the royalties.
Before the start of a poker game, the dealer assigns a value to each chip. This is done in an effort to determine the order in which bets will be made. One way to do this is to count the total amount of chips in the pot.
